...NOT SO SMMART MOM...

It seems that this month's presentation on "Good Things Utah" showcased my limits as a mother. (I think I'm going to consider a new post entitled "SMMART Obedience"!)

Despite SO MANY practices at home of "sitting still" during my segment...well, you'll see. Daniela had been up since 6:30, we waited in the green room for over an hour, and even though she was visibly tired, I was hopeful.

As soon as we walked on set and many strange people were talking to her, with 3 huge camaras in front of her, she started to cry. I quickly gave her a ring pop, and she stopped the tears, but told me "I'm so scared"...so, things didn't work out as I had hoped. After a good cry to my mother, she assured me that I will soon be able to look back on this experience with fondness and laughter... Please let that day come soon!

Then scroll down and click on the video icon at "SMMART Ideas: Money Lessons for Kids!"

The video clip won't stay up long, so catch it soon...

I loved your ideas, but I REALLY loved seeing Daniela enjoy that ring pop. She is adorable.

Thanks so much for letting me know that they are still loving my recipe! That is so cool! I wish I had known you were going to be on. My 1YO wanted to watch Signing Time yesterday (as in, I change the channel, he changes it back to DVD) and after about the fifth attempt I gave up! I read the report on the web though and those are some great ideas!

I saw the show and thought you did an excellent job! I found your blog because of it. Your mothering skills are fantastic and your daughter was adorable and absolutely hilarious. I loved it when she stuck her tongue out. I busted a gut! Your blog is fantastic. I have a very curious little 7 year old who loves to do experiments, so I'm excited for your fresh ideas! Thanks!

I love when you come on GTU because you always offer such great, creative ideas. I have included a link on my blog to yours. Hope you don't mind. BTW don't feel too bad about your daughter on the show. She is darling and I think I might have been scared too if I were her! :) She did great anyway!
