I am so excited to be in the "Member Connections" section of the October 2011 issue of Costco Magazine!

(Sorry, I couldn't get the two layouts to overlap)
Below, I posted the "Ghost Krispie" activity that was pictured in the magazine.
Thanks to Maria Bellos Fisher for a great write-up!

Me too. Great ideas and what's even more amazing is that you chose to chronicle these for the benefit of others. Thanks so much. I've tried similar activities with my young daughter and no doubt, they're a fun way to learn. But, one little problem I notice is that sometimes, kids want to stop at the fun part and don't want to transition to the 'work' part of the activity. For example, in the Bats and Pumpkins Math activity, I'm sure my daughter will love it up until the part where she has to add and subtract - she'll probably whine that she doesn't want to do that and either start the game over or just move on to something's natural I suppose! Anyways, thanks again for this great blog.

I'm blown away that you only have 3 comments on this post! I read about your blog a few weeks ago in The CostCo Connection, and it is the reason I didn't toss the magazine in my recycle bin. I'm a new follower and am excited to read more!
